Oh my gosh this woman is me! I went back to school with two small children, put them in daycare all day and night, worked a full time job during the day, and struggled with how to tell my kids that I was always away because I was trying to build a better life for us. I’m still working on improving my life but I have come far and now want to help women who are in similar situations. This totally made me cry.
People say money is the root of all evil, but they’ve never had the joy of a welfare Christmas.
It’s true. Generational poverty is a vicious cycle backed by the way our society treats people based on race, gender, class, ability, and sexual orientation.
